|After world-champion triathlete Mike Pigg conducted a clinic in 1990, cycling quickly became the foundation event for an endurance sport program. Competition was first offered at the 1991 Fall Games in Raleigh, and continues to be a part of the Fall Tournament.
SONC offers eight different cycling events, offering something for every ability level. Events range from a 500 meter time trial to a 40 kilometer road race.
Two qualifiers are offered in September at one central location where athletes particpate in either a time trial or road race, distances dependent on their category.
SONC Fall Tournament is held in High Point the first weekend of November.
All forms must be submitted by the local program coordinator.
