Welcome to Special Olympics Gaston County! Special Olympics Gaston County serves nearly 300 children and adults with intellectual disabilities throughout the county. Training and competition programs are offered in 11 sports.

Recent News

• Jonathan Henley and Wayne Jordan received a bronze medal at the National Unified Bowling Tournament in Baton Rouge, LA February 15-16. Congratulations to our unified doubles team!
• Gaston County had 4 teams participate on March 3 in Charlotte for the Western Basketball & Cheerleading Tournament. More than 1,000 athletes participated in the one-day state-level competition. The results from the weekend are Shooter 5-on5 Team finished with Gold, Spiders 3-on-3 Team finished with Gold, All-Stars 3-on-3 Team finished 4th, and Hoops 3-on-3 Team finished 4th.
