Plane Pull for Special Olympics

Presented by Credit Suisse
April 21, 2012  9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
UPS Tarmac at RDU Airport, Raleigh
1480 International Drive, Morrisville, NC 27560

Five-person teams compete to determine who can pull a 30,000-pound regional jet the fastest at the 2012 Special Olympics NC Plane Pull! This unique event is presented by Credit Suisse and sponsored by Delta Airlines, ResCare, RDU International, Fitness Connection and UPS to benefit the NC Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics North Carolina.

The team captain handbook will be available shortly, but you can register for the event by downloading and submitting a registration form.

Why should my company/group participate?

The Plane Pull is an important fundraiser for Special Olympics North Carolina and helps to provide 38,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to receive training and compete in 19 Olympic-type sports.   The Plane Pull is also a unique team building activity for groups.  It requires participants to come together as a team to achieve a very daunting task — pull an airplane 20 feet.  If a team can pull a 30,000 lb aircraft 20 feet, they can accomplish anything!

We encourage participants to start their fundraising as early as possible.  Visit www.FirstGiving.com/sonc to create a personal fundraising page for yourself.

Contact Jamie Vaughn at 919 719-7662 x 123 with any questions about the event.
