Three Special Olympics North Carolina athletes received a private tour Nov. 23 of the Hurricanes locker room, weight-lifting gym and practice facilities by Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward. The tour marked the kickoff of Cam’s Champs season-long fundraising campaign for a fourth straight year. The campaign will run through Feb. 26. The public is asked to join Cam’s Champs with a donation of $5 or more. Every donation receives great incentive prizes and can qualify for a monthly raffle for Hurricanes gear.
