More than 400 athletes, 250 coaches, 200 volunteers and hundreds of family members, friends and supporters convened in Newton and Raleigh Dec. 6 for the 2009 Special Olympics North Carolina Bowling Tournament! The Eastern Bowling Tournament took place in Raleigh, with 200 athletes competing, while the Western Bowling Tournament was held in Newton, with 200 athletes competing. Special Olympics athletes from 60 programs across the state participated in bowling! Congratulations athletes!
