Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized for their efforts to make the NC Law Enforcement Torch Run Successful year after year?
Recognizing the importance of the volunteers that make the North Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run so successful, two unique programs have been created to honor the people who dedicate their time and effort to raising funds for Special Olympics. Nominations due by November 1 each year and the honorees are announced at the NC Torch Run Conference in January.
The NC Law Enforcement Torch Run Hall of Fame was created to recognize outstanding individuals who have significantly contributed the Torch Run’s statewide success for Special Olympics.

The Bill Dalton Unsung Hero Award was created to recognize an outstanding individual who contributes to the Torch Run and Special Olympics in spirit, dedication and enthusiasm in an effective but unheralded fashion.
